Event Description
Seize the Day, Seize the Night!
Run trails by day, race again by headlamp! Join us on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Proud Lake State Recreation Area for Carpe Diem – Carpe Noctem—a one-of-a-kind trail experience with races in both the morning and evening. Choose from the morning or evening Half Marathon or 10K, or go all in and Double up! Morning races take place in daylight, while evening races start before sunset and finish under the stars. The well-marked, wide trails are beginner-friendly but offer just enough challenge to keep it interesting.
Between races, stick around and enjoy the community atmosphere. We’ll have hot food, a potluck, lawn games, music, coffee, and campfires—plus plenty of space to relax. Bring a tent for a daytime nap, a chair for stories, and your favorite trail friends.
And if you run both races? Your two medals magnetically connect to form one epic keepsake. Embrace the daylight, chase the moonlight—or do both!
