Event Description

On June 24, 2022, Taylor Eastridge was in a devastating car accident in Newberry, FL that left her in a coma with a severe traumatic brain injury.  Over the course of the next year, Taylor worked to recover and through her journey the idea of Project One45 was created.  Running a 5k was a goal Taylor had and accomplished in the spring of 2023 which left a desire in Taylor to host a race that brought awareness to TBI's. Over 1,000,000 people suffer traumatic brain injuries (TBI) each year.  As a result, it is estimated that 5 million people in the U.S. are living with a long term disability from TBI.  Project One45 is a non-profit organization that has been called to provide comprehensive support for survivors of Traumatic Injuries and their families. We are dedicated to the recovery and adaptation of survivors and their loved ones through various means that include: Financial Assistance, Peer Support Groups, Housing Assistance, and community involvement and awareness.  Please visit our website at WWW.ProjectOne45.Org for more information.

The Run With Purpose 5k is a timed race, but we welcome all to run and/or walk the course.  Our goal is to raise awareness and funding for trauma injury survivors and their families.  This race will be hosted at the Easton Sports Complex in Newberry, Florida and will be an off-road race.  All participants will receive a Race T-shirt, medal, and donut.
