24 Hour Family Tree Relay

Upstate Race Series is proud to bring back an original event to Lake Conestee Nature Park

The 24 Hour Family Tree Relay will be an amazing experience for you and your running friends! Teams (up to 8) will be able to set up shop at Lake Conestee Nature Park for a fun filled day (literally) of frolicing in the woods with 50 other teams! 

Race Day Details

• What: Family Tree Relay

• When: Saturday August 31st - September 1st

• Where: Lake Conestee Nature Park

• Address: 840 Mauldin Rd, Greenville SC 29607

• Overall Awards will be given out at the conclusion of the top 3 Teams

• Age Graded Relay: Members of the team will receive a handicap based on age and gender.  The fastest team may not be the winner. For example if your team has an average handicap of 10% and your team completes 100 miles during the 24 hour period you will have a total handicap mileage of 110 miles. 

• Athlete Staging Area: will have ample space for you and your team to set up a 20x 20 foot area with sleeping tents, canopies, and chairs. Feel free to bring a portable gas firepit for some overnight warmth. Parking is located right along the course so it will be an easy setup and breakdown before and after the event starts. There will be indoor bathrooms, access to water and power if needed.

• The course has several connecting trails that offer a wide variety of soft running through trails, some pact in single track trails along with a few wooden board walks to take you across the rivers and flooded wetlands. The loop will be 5 miles long with 285 feet of elevation gain. The course will be marked with yellow arrows at every intersection. Headlamps will be needed during night time hours.
