Event Description
Event Benefits the Special Olympics-Maryland and brings Law Enforcement officers and Howard County Special Olympics athletes together to run the "Flame of Hope" 3.1 miles (5K) run. This event will run rain or shine.
In support of the event, members of HCPD’s Community Liaison Section will be selling Torch Run t-shirts and hats, which are priced at $20 each. You can purchase the items and/or make donations via the Venmo app:

Go to Pay or Request
Type in Special Olympics Maryland
Enter the amount ex. $20 for hat or shirt or if you purchase 2 items it would be $30 and so on
In the notes section please type in (Howard County Torch Run)
If you donate online or using the Venmo app, simply send an email to hcpdtorchrun@howardcountymd.gov and your items will either be hand-delivered or sent via inter-office mail.
