Event Description

"Miles for Mary" is a walk/run-a-thon at the school of the Academy of Our Lady in Glen Rock, NJ for the benefit of Mary Treuer-Del Ojo.

WHO? ...  Mary Treuer-Derl Ojo is a daughter/wife/mom & triathlete who was struck by an SUV on May 13, 2023 while training for a triathlon. The collision  left her with a traumatic brain injury, internal injuries, numerous bone/vertebrae fractures and a spinal cord injury.  After a year nearly, Mary has recovered her cognitive abilities and is now focused on learning to walk again.

Participants are invited to come out and run on a 400 meter grass field between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on April 20th.   We will be counting the distance that everyone logs during the 4 hour window as we hope to reach the goal of running a collective distance of 140.6 mile, the distance of an Ironman triathlon. This event is free.
