Event Description
The YEBOfam invites you to join our Spring Fundraiser, the Friendship Walk/Run 2024 - a virtual race with your friends!
As you may know, we are on a Mission to tell 1,477 Stories, and that number spearheads our work at YEBO. So, with that, we invite you to walk/run 147.7 miles with 2, 3, 4, or 5 of your closest friends! Here's the math:
2 friends is 73.85 miles each, that’s 2.38 miles a day
3 friends is 49.23 miles each, that’s 1.58 miles a day
4 friends is 36.92 miles each, that’s 1.19 miles a day
5 friends is 29.54 miles each, that’s 0.95 miles a day
You can log miles any time during the challenge time frame of May 1 – May 31. Log your distance daily or weekly. You'll find that tracking your progress can be a great source of motivation!
Only miles done on foot count, such as walking, jogging, running, and hiking. Cycling, roller/blading, or skating do not count. Cumulative miles, such as counting steps from a full day, do not count. For example, walking around at a mall all day does not count. The activity must have a start and an end.

Registration Fee: For Past and current Storytellers, students, and young professionals (18-24): $35. Use code: ‘35runner’ at checkout. Everyone else: $50.
The first 25 people to register will receive:
- A T-shirt with the race logo
- A one-month subscription to Othership, a breathing app*
- Half an ounce of the Heart and Confidence herbal tea blend
- Free access to a yoga session created specifically for runners/walkers: May 14, 6pm
The 25 people to register after the first 25 will receive:
- A T-shirt with the race logo
- A one-month subscription to Othership, a breathing app*
- Free access to a yoga session created specifically for runners/walkers: May 14, 6pm
For participants that register after the first 50 people, you will receive:
- A T-shirt with the race logo
- Free access to a yoga session created specifically for runners/walkers: May 14, 6pm
*After 24 hours of registering, you will receive an email from YEBO on how to activate your one-month free subscription to Othership.

We will have two options to pick up your registration bundle (t-shirt and other swag, if applicable).
- Tuesday, May 14: After Yoga session pick-up, 7pm
- Thursday, May 30: Release Party
SAVE THE DATE: Thursday, May 30, 6pm: As you may be aware, YEBO culminates the season with a Release Party. We will do that again this year, and this time, the Release Party isn't only to celebrate a season's worth of stories, it will also be to celebrate the end of our virtual race and a send-off to Cory as he makes his way to South Africa for the Comrades Race.

Awards and Prizes: Awarded at the Release Party.
Team Spirit Award: Awarded to the team demonstrating the most enthusiasm and encouragement for each other on Instagram throughout the event by using the hashtag #YEBOfriends and tagging @YEBOpod.
Best Team Name Award: Recognizes the team with the most creative team name.
Best Team Photo Award: Awarded to the team that captures the most creative or memorable photo during the event and shares it with @YEBOpod.
