Event Description

The Kalapaki Eco Challenge is a (4) four-legged event made to challenge the individual's skill at swimming, kayaking/paddleboard, running (struggling) and bicycling. All within a time limit of 3 hrs.

This event takes place in the waters of Nawiliwili where swimming is the first challenge of the journey. The course is parallel to the beach, (2) two lengths. The second challenge, kayaks and paddle boards, are waiting to continue up the Huleia River where an egress to Haku Rd. will be beautiful and uphill to Hulemalu Rd. Bicyclist travel down the scenic route to Niumalu where the Challenge concludes

Must supply your own Kayak or SUP Board and Bicycle

Check-in at 6:00-7:00 AM Nawiliwili Beach Park Sunday 7/28/2024

After check-in participants drop off bicycle at the bicycle staging area at Haiku & Hulemalu Rd.

Kayak/SUP go to Kalapaki Beach staging area.  Next to Swimming start line.

*Switching partners only allowed after swimming portion. Strongest swimmer enters the water. The other team member is support. Support includes kayak/SUP placement. Must carry shoes on kayak/SUP for the running leg of the challenge. Bicycle will be at stagging area for final leg of the challenge.
