Event Description

Special Forces Foundation and Colorado Veterans Project invite civilians, veterans and military personnel to join in the Memorial Day Run & March to feed veterans experiencing homelessness. Participants of all ages and capabilities are invited to bring non-perishable food donations and to walk, run or ruck march one of three challenging routes 5K, 10K or 30K. Ruck march participants are encouraged to bring a 25-pound rucksack filled with their food items to be donated after the march. Qualifying participants who are up for the intense challenge of the 30K ruck march will have the unique opportunity to earn the Norwegian Foot March Badge, a prestigious award of tactical advancement officially written into the Army Regulation as a permanent wear badge. 

The Memorial Day Run & March was created in 2015 to pay tribute to our fallen heroes and to help feed local homeless veterans and veterans in need. To date, the event has collected and donated more than 205,000 pounds of food donations to local veterans organizations and nonprofits.
