The Dunedin HOB 5K 10K 15K Toy Drive and Holiday Run Walks

Event Description

Join us the morning of Sunday, December 15, 2024, to begin an unforgettable 5K 10K or 15K in Downtown Dunedin at the HOB Brewing Company, 931 Huntley Avenue, Dunedin, FL 34698. Each distance is a 5K loop on the fully paved and policed Pinellas Trail. Each distance at our HOB races offers a variety of finiher's medals for you to choose from. We know that many of you travel in for these amazing celebratory runs in hopes to collect them all. Only one medal per bib number.

 

This run also serves as our annual toy drive and gift giving event for those in our community who are in need. You can bring any unwrapped gift for any age child or adult to race day check in and we'll thank you with an additional free beer armband.  Please no used item and gifts cards are desperately needed for our teens. You never let us down and we'lve been able to help thousands of families in this mission since 2004. The toy drive is not mandatory so please only give what is on your heart.

Each distance runs begins at 8:30 a.m. The course is an out and back north on the fully paved Pinellas Trail to complete a full 5K. For longer distances we include multiple loops with accurate distance (each loop a 5K so 3 laps for the 15K run designed for non competitive runners who may be training for larger events). 


Each distance and is open to all ages and levels of ability. We also welcome families so we are both kid and dog friendly. Register early and save! Everey registrant will receive a free promotional run tshirt, a free craft beer, and 1 awesome finisher's medal that XRM has become famous for!

 

An email will be sent to ALL registrants the day before the race which will include your bib number assignment along with your waiver to participate on event morning. For those travelling or without a printer we will have waivers on site but bringing it with you moves check in much more quickly. Occasionally we have a few bad email addresses so if you don’t receive the final email by 4 pm the day before the race please email XanaduRaceManagement@gmail.com and we’ll get it to you. Sometimes when you register multiple people only one person gets the Active.com confirmation but ALL registrants will need the email from Suzanne the day before the run.

 

Parking is FREE and we encourage you to park in downtown Dunedin at the Artisan parking garage at 356 Monroe Street, Dunedin, FL 34698. After you park walk toward the venue using the Pinellas Trail.

 

Check in is RACE MORNING ONLY beginning at 7:45 a.m. 

We will have a bag check zone if you don’t want to go back to your car. This is a family environment with a great party zone on site.

 

We will have a table at the finish line shoot for first 15 males and first 15 females in each distance so be sure to grab one if they are still there when you finish your distance. The RaceSplitter Timing system will be used to time and score the race but results ARE purposely not posted at the venue so we can maintain our light hearted group of non-competitive runners and walkers. You can find your finish time in overall results later in the afternoon at www.727CanRace.com We also bring additional top finisher’s frames for seniors and our younger runners so if you had an exceptional day (any age) let Suzanne know at the microphone and we’ll award you for your performance! Age group awards slow down the day and we have used this method the last 9 years and it works out BEAUTIFULLY for the laid back group of runners we attract. We are the number once search for travelers looking for holiday running events!

 

After the post race party we encourage you to walk downtown to see exactly what all the rave is about Dunedin, Florida from our shops, restaurants, 13 breweries, and amazing marina district. Dunedin is also home to the famous Honeymoon Island State Park so make a day of it if you can. Thanks for joining us and we look forward to seeing you race morning!
