Ragnar Trail Northwoods presented by Salomon is the best running party under the stars. Runners will come together on Sept. 21-22, 2018, at Nine Mile Forest - nestled ten miles outside of Wisconsin’s outdoor mecca, Wausau and within sight of Granite Peak Ski Area. Nine Mile Forest is known for cross-country ski trails but you may not realize that when the snow melts, miles of epic single-track running trails await you.

On Friday morning, the start gun goes off, and teams of 8 (or 4) set out to conquer a series of three smooth single track trails, that meander under a canopy of oak, pine and birch trees. Each loop starts and finishes at Ragnar Village. And when the sun goes down, runners make their way through the night with headlamps, under about a billion stars, until every person on their team has completed all three loops on Saturday.

Back home at Ragnar Village you can rest your legs next to the campfire, chow down on s’mores, and relax with your team. This year, runners (friends, co-workers, kids) are welcome to join us a night earlier, starting on Thursday for a bonus day of camping, campfires, kumbaya-ing and fun!
