Event Description

Run, Walk or Bike the pristine 8.2 mile beach course from Imperial Beach to Coronado. This unique event, held on the lowest tide of the month, allows participants access to beaches normally closed by the U.S. Navy. Participants are chip timed and the hard packed, flat sand is a great surface for all levels of athletes to enjoy the amazing atmosphere. This family fun event supports local Wounded Veterans causes and is truley unique to San Diego.

Pricing ranges from $25 -$45 dollars based on age and early registration. All participants receive a long sleeved, dry-fit t-shirt. Medals will be given to top finishers for both runners and bikers in several age categories.

Parking for runners and walkers is at the finish line: 101 Ocean Blvd., Coronado, Ca 92118. Where they can then take shuttles to the start line in Imperial Beach

BIKES ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE SHUTTLES - so bikers should park at the start line: 560 Silver Strand Blvd, Imperial Beach, Ca 91932. At the finish of the race a special bike corrall will allow bikers to take the shuttle back to their cars and return for their bikes at the finish line.

Spectarors are encouraged to join the fun at the finish line either on the beach to cheer the participants in or at Sunset Park (101 Ocean Blvd., Coronado, Ca 92118) where there is childrens games and raffle prizes.
