Event Description
Enjoy a beautiful Thanksgiving morning run or walk over the Ringling Bridge with state of the art chip timing, breathable tech shirts and a wonderful post race party at The Hyatt Regency. Please join us to start your Thanksgiving off on the right foot! All proceeds benefit ALSO Youth.
Groups of 6 or more will receive $3 off for each registration by registering together at one time.
Event details and schedule
Start Time: 7:30 AM
Course: Start/Finish is at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota and goes directly to 41 to begin the course to the bridge and will turn around at the water station located at Bird Key Park. Finish by returning north on 41 and making a left onto 4th street to find the finish. Racers will return on the same side of the bridge that they went out on. Map available at - ALSO Turkey Trot Map
Awards: All participants 15 and under receive a finishers medal
Awards also go to Female and Male overall winners
Awards go to the Female and Male 1st - 3rd place winner in each of the following age groups:
under 10 / 10-14 / 15-19 / 20-24 / 25-29 / 30-34 / 35-39 / 40-44 / 45-49 / 50-54 / 55-59 / 60-64 / 65-69 / 70+
Parking: Please park in the Gwiz or Van Wezel parking lots and walk over to the Hyatt's back parking lot to find the Start/Finish. Please plan to arrive by 7:00 AM.
Finishers Party: Following the race, please enjoy snacks, coffee, a variety of beer and great music!
Chip Timing is included. (chip timing can not be guaranteed on same day registration - if available)
Shirts: Participants will receive a long-sleeve tech shirt with registration which will be picked up along with your bib at packet pick up. Shirts can not be guaranteed on last minute or same day registration. Shirts must be picked at packet pickup or before the start of the event - no shirts will be held or mailed out.
Water Station: There will be a water station at the turn around point just over the bridge in the parking area of Bird Key Park.
Lane closures: For the safety of our runners we will have at least one full lane closure extending from 6th ST and US 41 all the way over the bridge.
Packet Pick Up: There will be 2 early packet pick up times this year
- Tuesday, November 21st from 4 - 7 PM at New Balance University Park. The address is 8204 Tourist Center Dr, University Park, FL 34201. New Balance University Park on Facebook.
- Wednesday, November 22nd from 10 AM - 6 PM at Fleet Feet Sports in Sarasota. The address is 711 S Osprey Ave #1, Sarasota, FL 34236. Fleet Feet on Facebook.
- Packet pickup will also be available the morning of the event until 7 AM.
ALSO Youth welcomes all participants, regardless of gender identity, gender expression, ability, and age.
Strollers will be permitted on the course but we ask that if you have one to please line up at the back of the pack of runners at the starting line. Thank you!
The Turkey Trot will occur rain or shine. Average morning temperature is 58°F with low chance of precipitation. Should the race be cancelled due to an unforseen event, please consider a donation for ALSO Youth.
