MAD DASH RACE

Rhinebeck, NY 12572

Running > 10k, 5k

Event Description

The Mad Dash Race is an annual race, founded in 1988 and sponsored by the Church of the Messiah in Rhinebeck, NY. 100% of the net proceeds benefit local and global communities in need. There are 5k and 10k races, and a 5k walk over rolling hills and beautiful scenery on a paved road. There are also mini-dashes for the kids.  After 25 successful years, the Mad Dash Race has become a Rhinebeck Labor Day tradition. The proceeds from the Mad Dash have helped fund many outreach programs such as The Jayne Brooks Memorial Food Pantry, multiple homeless shelters,  Community Coalition for Rhinebeck Youth, and Dutchess County SPCA.   The priority is always to fund local programming, but global programs that are very focused and grassroots based are also considered.
