Event Description

Alzheimer’s disease is an epidemic in San Diego and every day more San Diegans are touched by the disease. There is currently no treatment or cure and it is a disease that not only affects the diagnosed individual, but also takes a heavy toll on those who love and care for them. The Alzheimer’s San Diego team is committed to serving local families as they face this difficult journey, while helping to advance research for a cure.

Why We Love Balboa Park

For the past 30 years San Diegans have been participating in an Alzheimer's Walk in Balboa Park. It's lush and historical grounds allow for the perfect backdrop for more than 4,000 San Diegans to come out for an energetic and fun morning to Walk4ALZ.

2016 Highlights:

  • Emcees: Jason Martinez and Anne State of Channel 10 News
  • Chopper the Biker Dog
  • Live musical performance
  • Face painting & craft areas
