"Be a part of the Seawitch Racing Festival Weekend "Half Classic on Saturday & 5k Classic/1m walk on Sunday".  

Race Note...Run the half & preview the Lewes section of the popular Rehoboth Seashore Marathon that will take place on Saturday, Dec 6, 2025.

RACE DIRECTOR NOTE...Due to the increases in our Country in many of the expenses involved in this event (t-shirts, screen charges, medals, trophy parts, safety personnel etc...) we are forced to have to increase our registration prices.   For 35 year I have tried to price my events reasonable or in line with(usually lower) than surrounding events and we still are lower with this event than surrounding half-marathon's on Delmarva.    Thank You for your understanding...Race Director Tim Bamforth- Seashore Striders.

RACE COURSE: 

• Sunday's 5k- Grove Park course through the pines of Northside Rehoboth 
  • 1 mile Fright Walk will start with the 5k and do an out & back on Henlopen Avenue.

PASTA DINNER OPTION & PACKET PICKUP:

• Packet Pick-up on Friday, October 25th from 4-6 pm
• Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant invites all runners to pre-race carb load from 4-6 pm as Irish Eyes has several pasta dinner options on their menu

SILENT AUCTION AT THE 5K ON SUNDAY

The Seashore Strider Weekly Run/Walk Club- "The Grove Park Running/Walking Club" will be holding a silent auction in conjunction with this race.  The purpose is to raise funds for our annual scholarship which is awarded to a Cape senior who has participated in track and field.  

There will be several useful and beautiful items most of them donated by Mod Cottage a wonderful downtown establishment.  Bidding will occur pre-race through the awards ceremony.  Treat yourself, purchase wedding gifts, or get a jump on your holiday shopping.

Please be aware only cash  and checks can be accepted.

RACE TIMING: Seashore Strider Event Production will chip time the event using the Chronotrack B chip timing system.

RACE AMENITIES: Long sleeve 100% Cotton Pre-Shrunk Race shirts, cool custom awards, two great courses, costume contest on Sunday.

• 10:15 am...Award Ceremony

PARKING:  

• Saturday's Half- Plenty of parking at the State Park in the main beach lot...Lewes
• Sunday's 5k & 1m walk- Grove Park, Henlopen Ave, Rehoboth Ave....Rehoboth

AWARDS:  

• 5k Classic
  • • Custom awards will be presented to the Overall, Master and the top three finishers in the following 16 age groups:
    • 5k...9 & U, 10-13, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+ 

• 1m Fright Walk...this is a non-competitive 1 mile walk with no awards

• Awards that are not picked up at the race can also will be available to be picked up during the week locally as well.   Contact tim@seashorestrider.com to arrange a pickup if you miss the awards ceremony.  Seashore Striders will mail "Out of Town" awards by receiving a check/cash/venmo for $10 to cover postage.
