Event Description

Welcome to the second annual Alpena Flower Festival 5K!

We are excited to present an opportunity to race through downtown Alpena during the 2026 annual Alpena Flower Festival. Running amongst the flower installations from various local businesses, this unique race is your perfect way to step into summer. This event is proudly presented by Downtown Alpena Run Club, Highpointe Rehab and Performance, and Harborside Cycle and Sport and supported by our incredible sponsors.

Hosted by the Downtown Alpena Run Club (DARC) we are excited to bring this race back for our second year. Our downtown is perfectly located as a running home base, with nearby walking paths, lakefront breezes, and historical neighborhoods all within a few strides. 

This year's event proceeds will donated to Thunder Bay Trails Association (TBTA). TBTA does an amazing job at keeping our trails maintained and preserving our access to local trails for hiking, biking, running, and fun!
