Event Description

Celebrate Freedom and Fitness at the SPECS Movement’s Virtual Juneteenth 2.5-Mile Run/Walk.  As many will be gathered together in Keller Texas to celebrate this event.  We are offering the virtual event to friend and family who would like to participate from "a Far".  Juneteenth commemorates the day when the last community of enslaved Americans in Galveston, Texas, received word that they had been freed from bondage 2.5 years after the emancipation proclamation was signed.   This Run/Walk is 2.5 miles in memorial of that day.

The SPECS Movement is an anti-racism and cultural understanding organization that seeks to create opportunities to see life through the perspective of others.

All proceeds will go towards The SPECS Movement annual MLK Day Scholarship fund.
