Event Description
Race Purpose:
Be a part of something bigger than a race. The Share Your Spare Sprint 5K isn’t just a run—it’s a celebration of life, strength, and the incredible power of living kidney donation. Hosted by the National Kidney Donation Organization (NKDO) and Kidney Donor Athletes (KDA)—the two largest communities supporting living kidney donors—this festive run/walk unites donors, recipients, families, and supporters from all walks of life.
Why it matters:
More than 90,000 Americans are currently waiting for a lifesaving kidney. For them, a transplant from a living donor isn’t just a gift—it’s a second chance. Living donors can do anything—run marathons, climb mountains, and yes, crush 5Ks.
Every step you take helps us go further. All proceeds go directly to NKDO and KDA’s mission: to raise awareness, support donors, and increase access to living kidney donation.
Whether you're walking, running, or cheering from the sidelines—join us and Share Your Spare.
