Event Description
How many different Waffle House's can you visit in one continuous run? August 24th is National Waffle Day, and we want to celebrate as many waffle dispensaries as we can. Tour de WaHo is the ultimate test of endurance, appetite, and questionable decision-making.
Your goal is to hit as many WaHo's as possible on foot, scarfing down at least one menu item per stop. Every location you conquer is a step closer to fame and glory, and potentially a light jog-induced food coma.
You pick the route. You choose the distance. You decide your fate... and probably your digestive limits. The Tour de WaHo is a completely stupid and utterly pointless self-directed run from WaHo to WaHo — stopping at each for a different menu item — to see who can conquer the most stores in a single journey.
Event Window
Friday, August 22 @ 12:01 AM → Sunday, August 24 @ 11:59 PM (in your local time zone)
You’ve got 72 hours. One chance per run. Go big, go greasy.
How It Works
• Start at any Waffle House.
• Run to as many unique WaHo locations as you can in one continuous journey.
• At each stop, buy a different menu item — your choice (coffee, side of grits, Burt's chili… anything goes).
• Your starting WaHo can also be your ending WaHo, and both count.
Example: Start at WaHo A, run to WaHo B, run back to WaHo A = 3 visits.
• You pick your distance and time — the only rule is that it’s one continuous run.
Proof of Glory
• Take a selfie at each WaHo with:
• Your food item
• Something visually different in the background (e.g., staff member, signage, or recognizable interior)
• Upload your run to the Strava Club with the title “Tour de WaHo”.
• Include your selfies in the post or activity description.
Compete for Bragging Rights
• Most waffle houses visited
In the event of tie(s), the fastest time will be the winner.
• Bonus points for costumes, flair, or overcommitment.
No cars, bikes, scooters — your legs and poor life choices must carry you.
Be polite to staff. This event is not sponsored by Waffle House. It is completely unrecognized, unsanctioned, unauthorized, and unheard-of.
