Event Description
The Mount Roseau Trail Run is held on the areas only single track MTB trail across from the Roseau City Park! Thanks to an amazing group of volunteers that put this course together a few years back, we have an opportunity to experience one of the areas only single track trail systems! There are two options, a 10k and a 5k(ish) run. Either option will offer plenty of challenges! This is a free will donation race to help cover costs of maintaining the trails for all.
The 5k(ish) is 3.8 miles of twisty turny single track with minimal elevation changes that will leave you feeling VERY accomplished!
The 10k just may surprise you with all of its elevation changes, especially if you're not used to running hills! One thing is for sure, it WILL challenge you!
This will be a chip timed event. This is a free will donation and all participants will receive a high five upon completion. Yes, that's all you get. Well...besides the personal satisfaction of being a true legendary badass for completing the first ever Mount Roseau Trail Run! That in itself is priceless. So grab your shoes, come out for a run, or walk cause that works to. Heck...you can even crawl this one out if ya want cause we don't judge. Just get off your butt and get out there and do it! What have you got to loose? Nothing..that's right. Well, I suppose a little dignity at most when you're laying out there with a twisted ankle and have to be hauled off by EMS in the back of the Ranger but that's neither here nor there. You'll still be legendary. Perhaps even more so then. So....In short, just sign up for the race and see if you can not twist an ankle and have a little fun in the sun on the best single track around!
Parking for this event can utilize the shoulders of the park road on the west side (park side) of 11th avenue, and can also utilize the Roseau City Park. Participants will walk to the Mount Roseau Trailhead across the road from the city park. There will be signs to follow.
Remember this is a free will donation so feel free to donate if you'd like to help with costs associated with the maintenance of the trail as this is a volunteer maintained trail system. You can donate online at the time f registration or the day of.
