Event Description
ATLANTA- Fulton County Commissioner Khadijah Abdur-Rahman is lacing up her sneakers to join residents for the 2nd Annual Mighty 6 Cleared for Takeoff Domestic Violence Awareness 5K.
The race, which kicks off at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, will be held at the Fulton County Executive Airport located at 3977 Aviation Cir NW, Atlanta, GA 30336.In addition to the Fulton County Executive Airport, the Commissioner is also partnering with LifeLine Animal Project to encourage the support of our furry companions. Animals often bring comfort to survivors and those affected by domestic violence.
This year through the Commissioner's partnership with LifeLine, participants qualify for pet adoption at the discounted rate of $25.00 for more information visit https://lifelineanimal.org/adopt/.
“As a domestic violence survivor this is a powerful way to bring the community together to show our support for those impacted by domestic violence,” said Commissioner Abdur-Rahman.
The Mighty 6 Cleared for Takeoff Domestic Violence Awareness 5K is Peachtree Road Race Certified.
Timeline:
8:00 am - Runner Check in begins
8:30 am- 9:30 am - Instructor-led stretching sessions will be available
10:00 am - 5k Race beings
11:30 am - Awards ceremony and pet adoption event
Additional Information:
- Light fuel (bananas and water) will be available pre-race
- Encourage racers to arrive earlier than 8 a.m. for parking purposes
- Free food will be available once the racers hit the finish line
- All racers will have access to onsite community resource partners after the 5K.
