1st Annual Apple Festival Memorial 5K – Honoring Ryan Simpson

Join us as we run, walk, and remember at the 1st Annual Apple Festival Memorial 5K, held in loving memory of Ryan Simpson.

Ryan was just 16 years old, preparing to enter his junior year at Morgan County R-II High School, when his life was tragically taken in a motor vehicle accident on June 6, 2025. A dedicated and talented athlete, Ryan poured his heart into football, wrestling, track, and cross country. Whether on the field, in the gym, or on the track, his determination, sportsmanship, and infectious smile inspired everyone around him.

This event is more than a race — it’s a celebration of Ryan’s life, his passion for athletics, and the way he brought people together. The 5K course welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, with every stride helping to continue Ryan’s legacy.

All proceeds from the race will go to the Ryan Simpson Memorial Fund, supporting causes and opportunities that reflect the values and spirit Ryan lived by.
