Pawsitively Spooky 5K/2K Fun Run!
Get ready for a howling good time at the Paws & Pumpkins Halloween-themed fun run! Whether you're a seasoned runner or looking for a fun walk with the family (and your dog!), we have a course for you. Dress in your best costume and help support our non-profit beneficaries
A dog-friendly 5K (3.1 miles) and 2K (1.2 miles) race. Both courses are out-and-back routes. The stroller friendly 2K is on paved roads and the 5K includes the scenic San Lorenzo Park River Trail.
Costume Contest: Prizes will be awarded for the best pet costumes, including:
- Best Dog/Human Duo Costume
- Funniest Dog Costume
- Best Overall Dog Costume
Runner Awards: Prizes for the top 3 male and female Youth (17 and Under) and Adult (18 and Older)
Registration & Fees: Registration includes a race T-shirt, a finisher medal, and entry into the costume contest.
- 5K (3.1 Mile): Adult $30, Youth $15
- 2K (1.2 Mile): Adult $20, Youth $15
Note: Registration fees will increase by $10 on October 24th.

Why We're Running
This event is a benefit for the Monterey County Agricultural and Rural Life Museum (MCARLM) and South County Animal Rescue (SCAR). Your participation helps support their work in our community.
Post-Race Fun: Stick around after the event! MCARLM's Haunted Hayrides will begin at the museum at 6 PM (this is a separate ticketed event) and the Trick or Treat event for 12 and Under. Tickets for these MCARLM events online here: www.mcarlm.org/category/all-products
