De Chavas Present a Día de Muertos 5K Run

The Día de Muertos 5K Run is a family-friendly community event that combines fitness, culture, and tradition. Participants will run or walk a festive 5K course decorated with vibrant papel picado and marigolds, while honoring the spirit of Día de Muertos.

Along the course, there will be two themed water stations with volunteers in Día de Muertos attire, keeping the energy alive. Before the race, kids can enjoy face painting with sugar skull and colorful designs.

At the finish line, runners will cross into a celebration space featuring a beautifully crafted altar (ofrenda), music, photo booth, and festive atmosphere. Every participant receives a custom race bib, exclusive event T-shirt, and finisher medal as a keepsake of the day.

This event is open to all ages and is stroller-friendly, encouraging families, friends, and the community to come together to celebrate life, remembrance, and tradition.
