Event Description

Stroll Tortoise Island is proud to announce the inaugural Tortoise Island 5K, taking place in the heart of our waterfront community. This exciting new event will raise funds for the A-7 Corsair II Association, a non-profit dedicated to honoring the historic contributions of the A-7 aircraft, supporting STEM education, and preserving our nation’s aviation history.✈️

The Tortoise Island 5K will feature a run/walk course open to all ages and fitness levels. If you are not excited about running, you can still participate by conducting another activity that equates to your idea of what it takes to run or walk 5K. That might be a game of pickleball or tennis, or a nice swim.  You'll still get an event tee shirt, a challenge coin and a race number. 

After the activities, everyone is invited to gather at the Tortoise Island Clubhouse for an afterparty with live music, food trucks, and local vendors – a true celebration of community spirit and giving back.
