Event Description

Come join us for the 17th annual Channel Islands 4th of July 5K & 10K benefitting the Channel Islands Harbor Foundation. This classic run takes place in the Channel Islands Harbor and Oxnard Shores beach community.

 Packet Pick Up:

July 3rd: 2pm - 6pm at Mile 26 Sports OR

July 4th (Race Morning @ Race Site): 7am - 7:45am

Race Day Registration Starts at 7am and is $40 with a shirt or $35 without.

8:00 AM - 10K & 5K Races Start

9:30am - Awards

10:30am - 4th of July Parade Starts

Proceeds:

Supports Community Activities of the Channel Islands Harbor Foundation, the Kiwanis Club of Camarillo, and Buena High School cross country.

Location:

Starting line is on west side of Channel Islands Harbor, just north of the Whales Tail Restaurant, 3950 Bluefin Circle, Oxnard, CA 93035.

Course:

6.2 mile (10K) travels through Hollywood Beach, Oxnard State Beach Park and Mandalay Shores

(on road next to beach); flat course, no hills; 3.1 mile (5K) is along half of 10K course and welcomes runners and walkers of all ages. This course is completely flat and a true "personal best" course.

Course Time Limit:

Both the 5K and 10K have a time limit of 1 hour and 15 minutes. This extrapulates to a 24:08 per mile pace for the 5K and a 12:04 per mile pace for the 10K.

Awards:

5K/10K Race - Awards to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in all age divisions;

Arts & Crafts, Entertainment and Activities Harbor- Wide 11 AM 9 PM at nearby locations. Fireworks Display starts at 9 PM.
