Event Description

Join us on April 4, 2026 for the Thorsby Strawberry Sprint 5K, part of the town’s beloved annual Strawberry Fest celebration! This fast, out-and-back course begins at the intersection or Franklin Street and Alabama Ave, near Thorsby High School and follows County Road 37 South, passing open fields, charming historic homes, and even a historic cemetery. The route features a gentle incline on the return, making it a perfect course for personal bests.

The Check-In tent will be set up at Wood Park. 

The morning kicks off with the 5K at 8:00 a.m., open to runners, walkers, and even leashed furry friends. Afterward, kids can join the Fun Run inside Richard Wood Park, creating a family-friendly race day for all ages.

The 5K race will be chip timed. 5K Runners will receive a tshirt. Awards will be presented following the Kids Fun Run to the top three male and female finishers in the 5K. 

Kids Fun Runners will receive a finisher medal. 

All profits from the event go to support the Jemison High School Cross Country Team, helping cover essential season costs and ensuring local student-athletes can continue to compete and thrive.

The last day to register to race is Saturday, March 28.

The last day to register for a guaranteed tshirt is Wednesday, March 4.
