Beer’d Mile (Beer Mile)

McGregor’s Irish Public House at Bell Tower Shops – Fort Myers, FL

Introducing one of Southwest Florida’s most entertaining races — the 2026 Beer’d Mile, held the day after McGregor’s Kilts & Kilometers! If you love beer, running, St. Patrick’s Day festivities, or just a good laugh, this is the event for you.

Following the classic beer mile format, participants will:

Drink one beer
Run ¼ mile
Repeat four times
Complete all four laps and claim your moment of glory! Costumes are encouraged, energy will be high, and McGregor’s will keep the Irish celebration rolling all weekend long.

All Beer’d Mile participants receive a leprechaun hat with a beard (required race attire!) and a limited-edition challenge coin. Whether you're competing for speed or just here for fun, this is a St. Paddy’s weekend experience you’ll never forget.

Timing & Award Categories

This event is for fun and entertainment; however, times will be recorded for bragging rights. Top three male and female winners will get a nice award medal and an additional free beer on Apex.

Course map coming soon – a flat ¼-mile loop near McGregor’s at Bell Tower.

Race Rules

This event follows the standard Beer Mile format:

Four beers total — one before each lap.
Beer must be consumed in the designated chug zone.
Participants must wear the provided leprechaun hat + beard during the entire race.
Must be 21+ to participate in the Beer’d Mile.
Any participant who becomes sick must move safely off the course.
