Event Description

The 6th annual Bike to Build event takes place on scenic A1A, starting in downtown Fort Lauderdale at the First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale and continues east along Las Olas Blvd until you reach the ocean.  The 25-mile ride continues north along A1A to the Hillsboro Inlet where refreshments and snacks are served and riders will then turn around and head back to the church along A1A.  The 50-mile ride continues north to Delray Beach where refreshments and snacks will be served once again, and riders will then turn around (Linton Blvd) and head south back to the church.  A delicious brunch with made to order breakfast will be provided upon your return.   There is a $100 minimum donation with 100% of all donations given to Habitat for Humanity in order to sponsor a home for a deservng family in Broward county.

2018 Training Rides (any distance, all levels encouraged to ride!!)

Saturdays:  Jan 6, 13, 20 & 27, & Feb 3 

Start time is at 8:00 am in the parking lot of Downtown Bicycles:

2571 E Sunrise Blvd, Ft Lauderdale

Day of Event, Saturday, February 17, 2018 with Same Day Registration and Packet Pick-Up starting at 6:00 a.m.

25 mile and 50 mile ride start promptly at 7:00 a.m.

Up and back course from the church, along Las Olas Blvd to A1A.  North to Hillsboro Inlet and turn around (25 miles), or continue north to Delray Beach (Linton Blvd) and turn around (50 miles).  Refreshments and snacks are served at each turn-around location, and road support is available for bike repairs.

*There is a Founders Day parade in downtown Deerfield beach on Saturday February 17, 2018.  Which may cause the riders returning to the church to seek an alternate route through the area on A1A during the parade.
