Event Description
The Next Loop 50-Mile Endurance Challenge is a continuous 50-mile trail race held alongside The Next Loop Endurance Series’ hourly loop format. This is a separate competition with its own start, rules, and results.
Race Details
- Distance: 50 miles (16 loops of a 3.1-mile trail loop)
- Time Limit: 12-hour hard cutoff
- Field Limit: 75 runners
- Course: Trail-based loop (minor distance variation expected)
Athlete Support
- Dedicated 50-Mile staging area
- Aid station every 5K loop
- Access to personal staged gear each lap
- Medical and safety support on course
Timing & Results
- Chip-timed
- Splits recorded and posted for every 5K loop
- Overall finish time determines placement
Pacers
- Pacers permitted beginning at 4:00 PM
- One pacer at a time
- Pacers must check in and wear visible identification
- Pacers may only enter/exit the course at the start/finish area
Divisions
- Open
- Masters: Ages 50–69
- Grand Masters: Ages 70+
Important Notes
- The 50-Mile Endurance Challenge is not part of the hourly loop scoring format
- Strict cutoff enforcement will be applied
- This race is intended for experienced endurance athletes
