Event Description

This virtual run marks my 1,000th consecutive day of running, and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate this milestone than by giving back to a place that means so much to me—Hugs Café.

We are in the final stretch of a $10,000,000 capital campaign to build the new Hugs Café Training Academy & Headquarters, and we are currently $650,000 from the finish line. Construction is already underway, and watching this building take shape makes it clear that the need for support is real and it’s happening right now.

I have the honor of serving on the Board of Directors at Hugs Café, and through that role I’ve seen firsthand the impact this organization has on individuals and families, as well as the incredible dedication behind this next chapter.

One of the things I love most about being part of this community is how consistently people show up for one another. Hugs Café exists because of that generosity, and this building is becoming a reality because our community believes in creating opportunity, dignity, and belonging for others.

Every donation—no matter the amount—helps move this project forward and brings us closer to opening a permanent home where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities can train, work, and thrive.
