Event Description

The 3rd Annual  YMCA of the Suncoast Youth Triathlon will be held at their Citrus County location in Lecanto, FL  This event is for youth athletes between the ages of 5 and 15. There are 2 distances (Junior & Senior) based on age. The race starts and finishes at the Citrus Memorial Health Foundation YMCA on CR 486. All finishers receive a custom finishers medal and race t-shirt. Trophies are awarded to the top 3 males and females in each age group, 5 - 15 Year Old.

SCHEDULE:

Check-In, Race Registration on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 3-6 p.m.
Parent Course Walking Clinics: Saturday, Oct. 6 at 3:30, 4:30 & 5:30 p.m

DISTANCES:

Senior Groups: 200 yard swim, 3 mile bike ride, 1 mile run
Junior Groups: 100 yard swim, 1.5 mile bike ride, 1/2 mile run

CLINIC: A FREE preparation clinic is available at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1 and Sept. 29, led
by award-winning triathlete Bob Brockett to help participants with prep and
performance.

NOTE:  Athletes are required to bring a swimsuit, goggles, running shoes, bicycle and
helmet to participate. All participants will receive an event T-shirt, swim cap, goodie
bag and participation medal.
