Event Description

When life gets busy, making a real difference can feel hard. What if all it took was a few miles? Oncology Bulls and the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) at USF are partnering with Blood Cancer United to host the United Against Blood Cancer Virtual 5K throughout February, with a goal of raising $10,000 to support blood cancer patient care and research. Whether you run, jog, or walk, every mile helps raise funds and spread awareness for individuals and families affected by blood cancer. Why We Run

100% of the donations and funds raised from this event are donated directly to Blood Cancer United.

Blood cancer affects lives every day. In the United States, someone is diagnosed with blood cancer every three minutes, and every nine minutes, a life is lost. Nearly 40% of childhood cancers are blood cancers, yet only 5% of cancer drugs are approved for first use in children, highlighting critical gaps in treatment and care. We are proud to support Blood Cancer United, a national non-profit organization dedicated to curing blood cancer and improving quality of life through patient care, research, and policy advocacy. Through this movement, we help support patients and families and move closer to a future where blood cancer no longer defines outcomes.
