Event Description
Experience a race like no other, “The People’s Steeplechase 10K & 5K” Join us 8am Saturday March 14, 2026, and run along the scenic tails of Carolina Horse Park. This one-of-a-kind course invites runners to trade the city streets for rolling hills, open fields, and winding paths where thoroughbreds usually thunder past the rails.
The 5K is perfect for beginners, walkers, and speed-seekers alike. The course offers a fast approachable route with gentle terrain and views of the course grounds. You’ll run alongside iconic jumps, ponds, and expansive green space. An unforgettable setting for your next personal best.
The 10K challenges seasoned runners with an extended loops through the park. With fresh air, wide sightlines, and the energy of the steeple-chase atmosphere, this course delivers both beauty and grit.
Whether you’re racing for time or soaking in the scenery, all participants will enjoy:

Weather: Early March weather in NC is the transition to spring, with temperatures rising from the 40s overnight to highs in the low 60s during the day. Expect mild to chilly mornings with cool, pleasant days and increasing sunshine. Perfect running weather with low humidity and early spring blossoms appearing
Participants will receive an official race T-shirt. T-shirts cannot be guaranteed for registrations after March 5, 2026.
