Event Description
Looking for the perfect warm-up before Longhorn Run and a way to support global health? We’ve got you covered. Join us for a low-pressure, high-energy 5K at UT Austin benefiting tuberculosis programming in Sierra Leone and hosted by PIH Engage x AMSA.
Tuberculosis remains one of the world’s deadliest infectious diseases, but it’s preventable and treatable. Your $5 registration donation directly supports and expands access to early diagnosis and care in vulnerable communities, making a real impact in Sierra Leone.
In addition to the 5K, we have:
- FREE T-shirts & stickers for the first 20 sign-ups
- FREE food (bananas, granola bars, water bottles, and gatorade)
- Medals for 6 winners total (3 women and 3 men)
- Trophies for everyone!
- Potential local business perks & giveaways (shoutout to amazing possible community donors like Cabo Bob’s)
- Optional costume run!
This is the ideal shakeout run to get your body moving, your nerves calm, and your excitement up as prep for Longhorn Run! We’ll see you on Speedway :)
