The AMERICAN LEGION "BE THE ONE" 5K RUN~WALK sponsored by American Legion Post 284, is to support our concentrated efforts to save the lives of Veterans and Service Members due to suicide.

Today, the No. 1 issue facing the veteran community is suicide. The mission of The American Legion's Be The One initiative is to reduce the number of veterans and servicemembers lost to suicide. We're leading the effort to reduce the stigma associated with mental health treatment, providing free suicide prevention training and empowering everyone to take appropriate action when a veteran or service member may be at risk – one life at a time.
