Kick off Tomato Fest weekend the right way! 🍅 Join us for the 18th Annual East Nashville Tomato 5K at East Park. A certified, chip-timed road race that brings the community together for fitness, fun, and a whole lot of tomato spirit.
The 5K starts at 7:30 AM, with the Kids Fun Run beginning at 7:00 AM. Runners and walkers of all paces are welcome, and the course is stroller- and pet-friendly, so bring the whole crew!
This race has become the traditional kickoff to Tomato Fest festivities, making it one of the most spirited mornings of the summer.
Swag & Awards
All participants receive a race t-shirt and finisher medal.

- Top 3 Overall (Male & Female)
- Top Overall Masters (40+)
- Top Overall Grand Masters (50+)
- Top Overall Senior Grand Masters (60+)
- Top Overall Senior Grand Masters (70+)
Tomato-themed costumes are highly encouraged. The more creative, the better!
Post-Race Celebration
After crossing the finish line, enjoy the sights, sounds, and flavors of Tomato Fest with friends, family, and fellow runners.
Registration & Packet Pickup
- Early packet pickup: August 7, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM at the Margaret Maddox Family YMCA.
- Race morning packet pickup: August 8, starting at 6:00 AM at East Park.
- The 5K is capped at 2,000 participants, so register early to secure your spot.
The race benefits the Margaret Maddox Family YMCA, supporting programs that strengthen our East Nashville community.
