Event Description

May is all about celebrating our military heroes who sacrifice so much for us every day! Let's recognize them by running in their honor while also supporting a great military charity. Sign up to complete your 5k, 10k, 15k, or half marathon at any time during the month and you'll receive this great custom medal along with a personalized e-bib. Early registrations will have their e-bib emailed out and their medals shipped at the start of the race period. After the race period, medals are shipped weekly and e-bibs are emailed within 48 hours of registration.

This race benefits Homes for Our Troops. Homes for Our Troops is a privately funded 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that builds specially adapted, mortgage-free homes nationwide for the most severely injured Veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan. Most of these Veterans have sustained injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives. Since its inception in 2004, nearly 90 cents of every dollar donated to Homes for Our Troops has gone directly to their program services for Veterans. HFOT builds these homes where the Veteran choose to live, and continues its relationship with the Veterans after home delivery to assist them with rebuilding their lives.
