Event Description

The I.S. Hankins F.A. Johnson Education Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization, in conjunction with the Delta Xi Lambda Chapter (DXL) of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., will host our 8th annual “Phrozen Jewel 5K/10K” Hybrid run/walk from June 6-13, 2026. Once again this year’s event is hybrid, participants can run/walk anytime during the 7 day window at the location of their choosing or they can join us in-person at Jay Blanchard Park in Orlando, Florida on June 13, 2026 at 7:06 a.m.

Proceeds will fund our scholarships, Young Men of Distinction (YMOD) mentoring, Head Start To Literacy Initiative, and other foundation programs and projects. We awarded $40,000 in scholarships this academic year. We delivered books and large quantities of supplies to eight head start centers in Orange County. Our Foundation has awarded over $425,000 in college scholarships, sponsored 400+ YMODs, and supported Scouting and other programs to benefit youth in the Central Florida community.

We could not have done that without your support! Therefore, we invite you to partner with us for our 2026 8th Annual “Phrozen Jewel 5K /10K” Hybrid run/walk so we can continue to encourage youth and community leaders to march onward and upward. Our goal for this event is to raise $30,000 to support our programs and initiatives. Your support helps us to continue developing leaders and promoting academic excellence.
