Event Description

The Meeks Mountain Bluebird Trail is not our typical trail—it’s a hands-on conservation experience that connects people with nature in a meaningful way. Designed to support the recovery of Eastern Bluebirds, the trail features a network of carefully placed nesting boxes that provide safe habitats for these beautiful birds, whose populations once declined dramatically due to habitat loss and invasive species.

What makes this initiative truly special is the Bluebird Trail Together App, which brings the experience to life. Through the app, participants can become citizen scientists—tracking nesting activity, observing egg laying and fledging, and contributing real data that supports bird conservation efforts. It turns a simple walk on the trail into an interactive, educational journey.

Led by Tim Daly, the creator and builder of the Bluebird boxes, this project blends craftsmanship, conservation, and community. Each box is thoughtfully built and placed to give bluebirds the best chance to thrive, while also inviting people of all ages to learn and engage.

Whether you’re a nature enthusiast, a family looking for an outdoor activity, or someone curious about local wildlife, this is a unique opportunity to get involved.

Come out and join us for a free outreach and education event—experience the Bluebird Trail, learn how you can participate, and see firsthand how small efforts can make a big impact for wildlife and our community.
