The 3rd Superhero Fun Run for a Cure is COMING BACK TO COYOTE POINT IN SAN MATEO ON JUNE 18, 2016 to continue to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS)!!! That's right, come out and show your special power to help defeat blood cancer!!!! Costumes encouraged!
This fun run is a fundraising and family-friendly event to defeat blood cancer. Join us on June 18th for fun, exercise, and to support a great cause. All proceeds to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. There will be a 1 mile, 5k, or 10k option for Super-Heroes (see registration pages for age limitations). (The 10k is a 2 loop run.) Junior Super-Heroes will have a 100-yard dash. All ages and abilities are encouraged to participate.
Runners and walkers are welcome. Jogging strollers are permitted in this event. For safety reasons, we ask that those of you who wish to bring jogging strollers or walk start the race at the back of the pack.
At the end of the event, there will be basic refreshment, music and medals.
Note: T-shirts for registrations after June 4, 2016 may not be available by event day and will be mailed to the address listed in the registration.

Parking Details: Please note there is a vehicle entry fee of $6.00 for every vehicle attending the event.
Dogs and Smoking are not permitted in County Parks.
THE CAUSE
The Superhero Fun Run for a Cure was and continues to be organized as a Leukemia and Lymphoma Society fundraiser. LLS raises money to support blood cancer research. Since 1949, LLS has been dedicated to curing leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. See www.lls.org.
For the first two events, the proceeds from the Superhero Fun Run for a Cure event were donated to LLS through LLS’ Man and Woman of the Year fundraising campaigns. Each year, in communities across the U.S. passionate candidates engage in an exciting competition to earn The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) "Man & Woman of the Year" titles by raising funds for LLS blood cancer research. The candidates compete in honor of children who are local blood cancer survivors, the Boy & Girl of the Year.
The 2016 3rd Annual Superhero Fun Run for a Cure proceeds will be donated to LLS through the organization’s Team in Training program. The LLS website states: Team In Training (TNT) is the flagship fundraising program for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and the only endurance sports training program for charity that raises money for blood cancer research. TNT and LLS are changing the landscape of blood cancer, not someday but today, making TNT the perfect way to fundraise.
REFUND POLICY
Please note that the Superhero Fun Run for a Cure is a fundraising event. All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. As mentioned, all proceeds will be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
