Event Description

The Statuto is America's 4th oldest foot race. A fast out and back, the mostly flat 5 mile course starts at the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club on Washington Square Park. The course runs North from SFIAC Club Headquarters on Stockton St. to North Point to Herb Caen Way along the waterfront to Bryant St and back. There is also a two mile fun walk along the same course.

Registration includes a commemorative 96th annual event T-shirt to all entrants. For the 5 mile race, trophies will be awarded to the first overall male and female runners, and the first SFIAC dues paying club member. Medals are awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place men and women starting at age 10 and under, 11 - 19 and every 10 year age category up to 80+. The first 200 people to complete the run or walk will receive a free molinari salami.

Prize drawings for all entrants in both the 5 mile run and 2 mile fun walk will be held in the club banquet hall after the awards ceremony. Must be present to win.

Register online by 3pm May 23. Registration is $30 for the 8K and $25 for the 2-mile fun run. After May 23 or Race Day Registration also available starting at 7:45am at the SFIAC.
