Event Description

A race route that goes only one direction - up. I mean, why run down when you can run up?

A 1-mile, uphill, road race, in Paris Mountain State Park, on the steepest part of the road. The Upville Mile is one of the toughest, if not the toughest uphill 1 mile road segments in the Upstate, even including nearby Altamont Road, and also including the road up Sassafras Mountain.

If you like a challenge in running, this event may be just the ticket for you. Don't be surprised though if you find it necessary to do at least a couple short walk breaks. With an average grade of 8.2%, it surely will not disappoint.
