Event Description

The Center for Assault Treatment Services is hosting its 16th Annual Victory for Victims Walk/Run on Saturday, April 21, 2018, Lake Balboa at Woodley Park (site 1), Van Nuys.

There are fabulous finish line festivities, which include free food and drinks, cool down massage lounge, fitness, health and business expo, kids fun zone and much more! Honored Guest Olympic Gold Medal Champion, Rafer Johnson, cheers on our runners and this year all participants receive a finisher medal!

Race Day Schedule Begins with Registration opening at 6:30am.
Opening Ceremonies, Expo Opens and Aerobic Warm Up at 7am.
10K Starts at 8am. 5K Starts at 8:15am. Awards Ceremony is at 9am. Kids Fun Run Starts at 9:30am. 1-Mile Friendly Dog Walk at 10:15am.

Join the Movement: Help Break the Silence and Stop the Abuse!
The Center for Assault Treatment Services (C.A.T.S.), is a part of Dignity Health Northridge Hospital Medical Center. It is the only 24-hour/7-day-per-week program in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys providing forensic medical evidentiary examinations and interviews at no cost to the child and adult victims of sexual and domestic violence. All proceeds from Victory for Victims will benefit C.A.T.S.

Course

The 10K Run begins at 8am. The 5K Run begins at 8:15am. The Kids Fun Run begins at 9:30am. All courses are fun, fast, and flat. Both races start and finish inside Woodley Park and go through Lake Balboa Park.

The Kids Fun Run is for Kids 9 and under. It is a 1K (.6 mile) flat course going around the Expo Area in the park. Parents can accompany small children at no cost.
All participants receive a finisher medal!

Awards

Presentation by Olympic Champion Rafer Johnson.

There are 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Medals for the top Male and Female Finishers in each division.
Team Awards for the Top 3 Finishers Combined Times, Top 3 Largest Race Day Teams and Top 3 Fund-raising Teams

We will be honoring 3 amazing companies/individuals for their continued and generous support to the Center for Assault Treatment Services Victory for Victims Walk/Run. Last Years Honorees were Dr. Ed. Lowder, Dennis McCarthy & Jim Hale .

Be sure to register early as the registration price is only $35 November 06 - January 29, 2018.
Price increase on January 30, 2018, through the day of the event Registration is $40.
Kids Fun Run Registration is $15.
1-Mile Friendly Dog Walk is $25
