Pick a Food. Wear It. Run It.

The Food Fight Fun Run is a costumed run and walk that kicks off the Pensacola Food Fight Family Festival at the Pensacola Equestrian Center. Nothing is timed. Nobody is racing. Pick a distance, put on the most ridiculous food costume you own, and take over 151 acres with a few hundred people who did the same thing.

Run it. Walk it. Wear it.

Bring your whole crew. Groups are the best part of this, and they photograph better than anything else out there.

Every registration includes a bib and a ribbon at the finish. Water on course and at the finish. Bring your own costume, that is the whole point. We do not sell them.

PRIZES

Costume trophies for First, Second, and Third Place.

Judging happens at the festival, not at the run, and it is open to everyone on the grounds. You do not have to run to enter. Do not put the costume away at ten o’clock. Judging time TBA.

The costume contest, live music, food trucks, makers market, kids zone and everything else happen at the festival starting at 10 AM.

DISTANCES

1 Mile Run or Walk

One easy loop of the grounds. Stroller and wagon friendly.

2 Mile Run or Walk.

A longer loop of the property. Run it, walk it, or somewhere in between.

Both distances start and finish at the Pensacola Equestrian Center, 7750 Mobile Highway, Pensacola, FL 32526.

The entire course runs inside the fenced grounds. No open streets, no traffic, no intersections. Follow the instructions of course marshals and stay on the marked route.

PRICING

Ages 13 and up: $25 through October 31, $30 November 1 through December 31, $35 January 1 through January 17.

Ages 12 and under: $10 at every window.

Registration closes Sunday, January 17. All participants must be pre registered. There is no event morning registration. Entry fees are non refundable and bibs are non transferable.

The festival itself is free and open to everyone, so your registration covers the run only.

BIB PICKUP

Monday, January 18 through Thursday, January 21

11:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Bring your registration confirmation. A friend can pick up for you if their name is on the list. Registering a group? One person can collect all the bibs.

Ribbons are handed out at the finish line, not at pickup.

Cannot make it during the week? Will call is available at the Pensacola Equestrian Center on event morning, 7:00 to 7:45 AM, for pre registered participants only. Will call is not a registration desk.

EVENT MORNING, SATURDAY JANUARY 23

7:00 AM     Gates open. Will call opens, pre registered only.

7:30 AM     Suggested arrival. Park and get in costume.

7:45 AM     Group costume photo at the start line

7:55 AM     Route overview and welcome

8:00 AM     Start, both distances together

9:00 AM     Last call for late starters

10:00 AM    Course closes, festival opens

Parking is free and on site, so there is no hunting for a space. Plan to arrive by 7:30 because the group photo starts at 7:45 sharp.

Late January mornings here run in the low forties at seven o’clock. Layer under the costume and bring something warm for after.

QUESTIONS

Do I have to run?  No. Walk any distance you like.

Is it timed?  No. No timing, no results, no age group awards.

Can I register on event morning?  No. Registration closes January 17.

Do I get a shirt?  No. You get a bib and a ribbon. We keep it simple so we can keep it affordable.

Do I have to buy a costume from you?  No. We do not sell them. Bring your own.

Do I have to run to enter the costume contest?  No. The contest is at the festival and open to everyone on the grounds.

Where are the contests and activities?  At the festival, starting at 10 AM.

Can I bring a stroller?  Yes. The 1 Mile Family Walk is stroller and wagon friendly.

Is there parking?  Yes. Free and on site.

Is it refundable?  No. Entry fees are non refundable and bibs are non transferable.

What if it rains?  We run. Severe weather is the only thing that stops us, and we will email every registrant.

AFTER THE RUN

You are already there. Stay for it. The Pensacola Food Fight Family Festival runs 10 AM to 6 PM with food trucks, live music, local artists and makers, vendors, a kids zone and the costume contest at the Pensacola Equestrian Center. Free admission and free parking.

A portion of the proceeds benefits the Ronald McDonald House of Northwest Florida, supporting families with children receiving medical care.
