Event Description

We are excited to work with IncredibleBank of Houghton to bring a new race to the Copper Country! This October on the 17th at 10 am we will be hosting the First Fall Frolic 5k and Kids Dash!

The Fall Frolic 5k Run offers a scenic run along the Houghton canal and an opportunity to conclude your running season before the snow arrives! The course is an out and back on the bike path, giving you the full experience of the Keweenaw Waterway. All races will begin and end at Kestner Waterfront Park in Houghton.

The Fall Frolic 5k is a great way to break up training for those looking to hop into a late season fall marathon and cap off their running journey for the 2026 season. We are hoping this allows for one last fun hoorah before we all put our ski clothes on for our outdoor adventures and one last run outdoor for those who hibernate on the treadmill for the winter. 

We will have awards for the Top 3 individuals in both the Men's and Women's 5k. 

Packet Pick-up will be the day before Friday October 23th from 3pm - 7pm. We will also have it available race morning from 7:30 am - 8:30 am. We encourage you to pick up your packet on Friday to help save us from any race day confusion!

Proceeds from this race will be donated to the Copper Country Humane Society.
