More about One Flag Forward:
wear blue: run to remember and Team Red, White & Blue, founded the same year with overlapping members and converging missions, have partnered for more than a decade to serve the military-connected community. One Flag Forward represents the next chapter of that partnership: two organizations united under one banner, the American flag. In the military, different units rally under a single flag to accomplish a shared mission. One Flag Forward follows the same principle.
"One flag, carried by many, honoring all."
We begin on September 12 with intention. While September 11, 2001, changed America forever, September 12, 2001, showed the strength of a nation united in service to one another. Twenty-five years later, One Flag Forward honors that spirit while recognizing those who have continued to answer the call ever since.
Over five days, one American flag will travel 250 miles from New York City to Washington, D.C., passing through the hands of Gold Star and Surviving Family Members, Veterans, Service Members, Military Family Members, and civilian supporters. Every branch of the United States Armed Forces will be represented. Every hand honors those who have served, those who serve today, and the generations committed to carrying their legacy forward.
