Description
Crisis Response International is a nonprofit based in York County, South Carolina. Our mission is to train and mobilize to meet the urgent physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in the midst of crisis.
The 4.01K Reindeer Run, presented by Transamerica, is a festive community event for everyone, from families and casual walkers to competitive runners. Taking place on December 5, 2026, this holiday celebration brings people together for a morning of fun, connection, and purpose.
Whether you're chasing a strong finish in the 10K or enjoying a relaxed 4.01K with friends and family, this event creates space for all ages and abilities to participate. Come celebrate the season!
Come dressed in your best Christmas gear, compete for fun prizes, enjoy great food, and experience the energy of a vibrant race environment. The Reindeer Run is designed for all ages and fitness levels, creating a fun, welcoming environment for runners, walkers, families, and groups.

Kids can run in the 4.01K Reindeer Run/Walk for free, but will not receive a shirt or swag bag. If you would like merchandise for your child, please sign them up for the 4.01K Reindeer Run above.
Race Options
1. 4.01K (2.5 miles) — runners and walkers, costume-run flagship event
2. 10K (6 laps of the course, approx. 6.6 mi / 10.62K — see note below)
3. Reindeer Relay — 4-person team, one loop (1.1 mi) per leg
Note: The 10K is run as six full laps of the certified Rock Hill Criterium loop (1.1 mi each), which comes to approximately 10.62K — slightly longer than a standard 10K. We wanted our competitive runners to have the full, clean loop experience rather than an awkward partial lap.
Run it all — one fee, three races
If you'd like to participate in multiple events, you do not need to pay more than once. Registering for one race gets you access to all three — run the 4.01K, the 10K, and the Reindeer Relay, or any combination you'd like! (The Reindeer Relay requires a 4-person team — solo registrants wishing to join can be paired with an available team at check-in.)
Costume Contest
Come dressed in your best Christmas gear — Santa hats, elf costumes, reindeer antlers, and more! Our Kids Costume Contest runs from 10:00–10:30 AM near the start/finish area, with prizes for the best costumes.
Families, individuals, and groups are all welcome.
