The Columbus Day 5K is the perfect way to kick off one of Columbus, Kansas’ favorite traditions! Start your morning with a run or walk through Columbus, then celebrate your finish with a well-earned pancake breakfast and a full day of Columbus Day festivities. Whether you’re chasing a fast 5K, walking with friends and family, or just looking for a fun way to be part of the weekend, the Columbus Day 5K brings together fitness, community, and tradition. Come for the miles, stay for the pancakes, and make a morning of it in Columbus!

Columbus Day 5K — Race Morning Schedule
6:30 AM — Race Day Registration & Check-In Opens
Participants can pick up their race materials, check in, or register on-site.

7:15 AM — Pre-Race Announcements
Final race instructions, course information, safety reminders, and event announcements.

7:30 AM — Columbus Day 5K Start
Runners and walkers are off!

Immediately Following the 5K — Awards Ceremony
Stick around after you finish as we recognize our overall and age-group winners.

Awards: Overall Male and Overall Female, plus the top finisher in each male and female age group: 1–9, 10–14, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70+.
