Event Description
New Date: Aug 11-12, 2018
A Hopper like no other. This is your chance to ride little know dirt roads in remote Mendocino County. Over 25 years of riding and exploring in Northern California has led to the crazy combination of pavé, dirt and gravel roads that make up this two-day cycling adventure. Day 1 includes 9 creek crossings and over 35 miles of dirt. The ride culminates with 25 miles of dirt and descends to the Pacific Ocean at the town of Fort Bragg and camping on the beach at Mckerricker State Park. Day 2 is a Hopper to blow your mind! In true Hopper fashion, we will twist and turn our way through Jackson State Forest via logging roads and then drop into the town of Mendocino. From Hwy 1 we'll take Comptche Rd and Low Gap back to Ukiah. Day 2 includes over 35 miles of dirt roads.
Rider's camping and cycling gear will be transported to the finish at McKerricker State Park where hot showers, dinner, and cold beer will await you. Registration includes: on course support, hydration, food, and beer for both days. Reg. also includes camping, dinner Saturday, breakfast, and dinner Sunday.
Parking Saturday at Skakota Trailhead North End
This will be a timed event with awards given to top 3 male and female in each age group for two days combined.
